HR DIRECTOR

The Director, Human Resources will serve as lead HR business partner to assigned business units as well as drive and execute a best-in-class HR function in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This position reports to the VP, Human Resources. Areas of focus may include employee relations, talent acquisition, rapid onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, benefits/compensation and performance coaching. The Director, HR will lead key projects that drive strategy and will work collaboratively across the organization to help achieve improved business results.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading the effective execution and end-to-end management of the employee life cycle from entry to exit.

  • Maintaining standards of excellence in candidate selection and hiring at best-in-class quality, time to fill, and cost.

  • Helping assess and diagnose the needs of the business in order to ensure effective HR support

  • Partnering with the VP, Human Resources on HR programs, practices and key initiatives to drive business results

  • Maintaining responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters

  • Influencing and driving the success of HR by creating a culture that values employees and effectively manages change

  • Developing mechanisms for information gathering and analysis of talent retention issues

  • Addressing and managing a broad spectrum of employee relations matters; resolve issues through a systematic approach adhering to company policies and best practices

  • Supporting business objectives by working with managers and directors on development, role clarity, transition management and effective practices; helping lead initiatives aimed at creating, effectively managing, valuing, retaining and leveraging a diverse workforce

  • Coaching managers and leaders on performance management issues and processes

  • Assuming responsibility for specific projects as assigned by VP, HR

  • Communicating changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.

  • Maintaining high data integrity within the human capital management system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.

  • Managing and developing HR employees; fostering a team environment

  • Participating on committees and special projects and seeking additional responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

  • Minimum 7 years as an HRBP, Generalist, or HR management role with increasing experience and responsibility

  • Experience in handling complex employee relations matters, conducting effective investigations, and maintaining a productive work environment

  • Broad spectrum experience in various HR disciplines and in emerging practices and developments

  • Proven project management and operations skills with demonstrated ability to manage global projects and initiatives

  • Ability to listen and to persuasively convey ideas and recommendations

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills required. Ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels within the organization

  • Works well both independently and collaboratively

  • Detail oriented and exceptional analytical skills

  • High proficiency in problem resolution skills, customer service and consultative skills required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintain a high quality of work

  • Presentation skills, reporting and communication skills required

  • Strategic thinker, hands-on business partner with strong work ethic

  • Prior experience with HCM systems (UltiPro a definite plus.)

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel for business as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year
